All The Bright Places -Jennifer Niven

You know that feeling you get after you finish an amazing book? That sort of dazed feeling where you don’t know what to do anymore? That’s how I feel after finishing this book. All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven is now one of my favorite books. Theodore Finch is one of those characters you wish was real.

Story: All The Bright Places follows Theodore Finch, a freak who is suicidal, and Violet who is popular but has to deal with the death of her sister. Their stories cross when Finch talks Violet out of jumping off the bell tower.

There are so many good quotes that make you think  and stick in your head. Here are some of my favorites.

“What if life could be this way? Only the happy parts, none of the terrible, not even the mildly unpleasant. What if we could just cut out the bad and keep the good?”

“Let’s go. Let’s count for something. Let’s get off that ledge.”

“There is such a thing as a perfect day.”

“You make me lovely, and it’s so lovely to be lovely to the one I love…”

“The thing I realize is, it’s not what you take, it’s what you leave.”

This book is a beautiful, broken, love story between to wonderful people who have been through rough times. It is funny and sad at the same time, and will leave you wishing for more.
